Do you believe in luck?
St. Patrick’s Day was originally celebrated in Ireland with religious services and feasts in honor of St. Patrick who was the Saint of Ireland. Now St. Patricks day is celebrated all over the world with food and parties. Here at FCHS our students and faculty celebrated the day with treats and dressing in the color green. We interviewed a teacher and student here at FCHS on whether they believe in “luck” or not. First we have one of our teachers, Mr. Maddox. In his interview, Maddox stated, “I believe in luck sometimes. I think that big things in life like who you marry are meant to be and not because of being lucky. Small things like winning some money on a lottery ticket or winning a prize in a raffle could be more because of luck that you may or may not have.”
Next, we interviewed one of our students here at FCHS, Andrew Milligan. When asked if he believed in luck he responded, “I believe in luck but only under certain circumstances. Most things are just a part of the plan and are supposed to happen, but some things that happen may be because of luck. I don't know if I truly believe in luck over my purpose and what God has planned for me”. With that being said, we hope that our FCHS staff and students had a great St.Patrick's day!
